Hi’ Im Carla, one of few female window cleaners locally. Based in Corfe Mullen I am happy to travel to local neighbouring towns and villages including Broadstone, Wimborne, Poole and Wareham to name a few.
As a professional I predominantly work using my water fed pole system which gives me access to all of your external windows from the ground, it will even reach skylights and conservatory roofs. Using pure water instead of normal tap water means that your windows are left streak free and without those annoying water marks that get left when it dries.
This ladder-less system means I am quick and efficient and I carry everything I need in my van to be self sufficient. That said I do still carry my traditional window cleaning tools, the good old bucket and squeegee, because some jobs can require these for tricky or obscure shaped windows.
My Window Cleaning Prices
Every job requires different cleaning combinations, be that the number of windows and how big they are, to the type and amount of cleaning you want carried out. For these reasons it is impossible to give an umbrella price for cleaning windows.
I do have a minimum charge of £15 and to give you an indication of price the average 3 bed house local to Corfe Mullen would cost around £20 for an external window clean.
Exterior Windows
Most have seen or are familiar with the pole cleaning method and this is my primary system as mentioned above. For me to clean the outside of your windows I require access to all sides of the building that have windows.
Once set up, I start with windows at the top of the building, cleaning the frames followed by the window pane and finally the sill. Depending on how dirty the window is I repeat this process and finsh off with a rinse to leave a streak free finish.
Water will remain on the window after I have finished but it will dry without leaving any marks or streaks because I use pure water which is filtered.
The bottom windows get washed in the same fashion with the additonal benefit of frames and sill being wiped down with a cloth.
Booking Period: Window cleaning usually takes place on a six week cycle.
Doors and Garage Doors
When I quote to clean your windows externally this price will include front and back doors as standard. I do however offer a garage door clean for an addtional charge, just let me know you want it done when i’m there if you haveN’T already mentioned it.
Interior Windows
Cleaning interior windows is done using a squeegee and mop. This is the traditional method of window cleaning but is the only option for doing the inside of the window so water doesn’t get everywhere.
It will take a minimum of 2 hours to do a complete interior clean and the client will need to be present. Everything must be removed from the window ledges and surrounding edges of the window (picture frames and vases etc) as these will be in the way and we don’t want anything getting broken!
I use a minimum amount of water to avoid mishaps as well as putting a towel down to make sure your floor is protected.
It’s not just the window pane that gets a freshen up. All frames, handles and sills are wiped down and left dry.
The price for me to do an interior clean is obvisouly going to vary from house to house, but as a good rule of thumb, it would be double the amount I charge for the exterior clean. (See above for details.)
